Doing okay here on day 3 post-round 2. A little nauseous and will most likely be resting by 1 or 2. That's becoming my routine, but the mornings remain pretty decent. I do get shaky and tired, and some other issues creep up but they are manageable as long as I pace myself. SO thankful for kids who are willing to drive me. That tends to take a lot of effort for a lot of reasons, and I appreciate their time and companionship.
From a friend who wrote a dear note to me, and the words were perfectly timed...
Jeremiah 17:7-8, 14
7"But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.
8They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”
14Heal me, LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise."
Thankful thoughts:
- A quiet evening last night, while family went to Buddy's family...
- Notes from so many...emails, FB, real mail...they mean the world.
- Music! Lifts my spirits!
- Cute hats!
- That I'm not afraid of needles!
- Scarves...I got 3 for Christmas and I love them.
- My kids who think I'm cute with the shaved look and hats - made my night.
Have a great day!
Andi
Oh, Andi, I'm so happy to hear you let go of the hair! It's kinda fun to look like GI Jane (at least that's the way I look right now)! Love the lint roller idea. I may have to try that.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the verse and for the thankful thoughts which are absolutely healing. Though I think and pray with a thankful heart, I'm going to follow your example and write out my daily blessings. Thankful thought #1: Andi's encouraging words and positive attitude.
God bless!

You're a dear! Thank YOU for the encouragement! Sometime, when we are both well enough, we need to meet face to face. I am glad that the hair thing is done. It started coming out a little over the weekend, then in force on Wednesday morning...easy choice, I was ready! I'm enjoying the hats so far. CUTE ones at a place called Charming Charlie's!
ReplyDeleteAndi,
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a better day, too! Thanks for your nice words of encouragement!
The American Cancer Society should have info on the cleaning- it's through Cleaning for a Reason. David's Cleaning is for Berks county, and I can't remember if you're in Berks or Chester, but there should be a vendor that can help. Let me know which county, and I'll ask my good friend at the Lebanon office of the Cancer Society if she can find someone for you! Basically, they provide 1 free cleaning (2.5 hours if 2 people are doing it) for 4 times (once per month). Nice, huh?
I'm saying a prayer for you right now, Sister!
Love,
Celeste
